Literary Journals

There are a number of literary journals at UVU. Here is important information for a few of them.

Warp and Weave

What are they looking for?
-Original short stories, poetry, and art with a speculative slant. Usually in genres of fantasy, science fiction, and horror. Stories that avoid clichés. Polished work. Stories that warp the confines of reality yet still manage to weave in elements of human condition.

When and where can I submit?
-Submissions being accepted now until February 8th
-Send submissions to warp.weave@gmail.com

What if I want to help with the journal?
-Staff meets every Thursday at 6:00 p.m. in room LA 116. Welcoming anyone who would like to work with the staff.

Does Warp have any events coming up?
-Reading Night February 11th 6:00 p.m. in room SC206A

Touchstones

What are they looking for?
-Touchstones accepts literary submissions rather than critical. They accept fiction, creative non-fiction, poetry, drama. They also accept artwork.

Where and when can I submit?
-They accept literary submissions now until midnight Jan 29th and art submissions until midnight Feb 11th

Does Touchstones have any events?
-Launch Night: April 23rd

Essais

What are they looking for?
-They accept critical theory papers, academic response papers, literature-based studies, and literary analysis.

Where and when can I submit?
-They accept submissions anytime. The deadline for the spring 2015 issue is February
